East Brighton
Identified by Brighton and Hove City Council as an area of social deprivation and with a population of over 17,000 it is vital that green spaces in East Brighton are cared for properly so the whole community can enjoy them all year round.The Green Team works with local community groups and organisations, landowners and schools to encourage active participation in making this part of the city a greener and healthier place to live.
Being able to show that volunteers, young and old, youth offenders to people with learning difficulties, with a huge spectrum of backgrounds and experience, can successfully work together, breaking down prejudice in the wider community and really making a difference to the environment is what the Green Team is all about.
